Sending a tip
How to send us something useful
The best tips are specific. You do not need a polished story or a full explanation, and you do not need to be certain. A partial lead with a real detail is more useful than a general impression. If you can include any of the following, it helps us move quickly.
- ▸ What happened, in one or two sentences
- ▸ When it happened or when it becomes public
- ▸ Who is involved (companies, people, institutions)
- ▸ Any documents, figures, or links that support it
- ▸ Whether you want to be credited, quoted anonymously, or kept entirely out of it
On confidentiality
If you ask us to keep your identity out of a story, we will. Tell us upfront what you are comfortable with. For genuinely sensitive material, email us first and we will agree a more secure channel before you send anything.
